PITTSBURGH BORN AND RAISED
WE HAVE history IN THE BURGH
My family’s story began in Pittsburgh over a century ago when my great-grandfather purchased a small property at the corner of Becks Run and East Carson. On the property stood a small general store that sold Reick’s Ice Cream, along with a gas station called Page’s Service Station.
During the St. Patrick’s Day Flood of 1936, both the general store and the gas station were destroyed. After the flood, my great-grandfather rebuilt the original gas station and added another on the site where the shop stands today.
Years later, while on a trip to Florida, my grandfather discovered soft serve ice cream. Inspired by the idea, he decided to tear down the newer gas station and build an ice cream shop in its place. That was the beginning of Page’s.
After purchasing the business in 2020, I became the fourth generation of my family to own and operate the shop. Seventy-five years later, it still closely resembles what my great-grandfather and grandfather started all those years ago.
We wouldn't be able to do this without you. We can't thank you enough for 75 years of love and support. We love you, Pittsburgh!
With many thanks,
Margie 'Page' Prusia
